Some players choose to use proxy servers to provide security and privacy, however; using a proxy server may result in unwanted connection and installation errors when trying to launch or update Meet Your Maker.
Additionally, Proxy servers can be activated without a user's knowledge via malware - so they may be impacting your ability to play Meet Your Maker without you knowing it. To check for proxies:
- Press Windows Key + R.
- In the "Run" window that pops up in the bottom left of your screen type inetcpl.cpl and then click "OK".
- Click on "Connections".
- Click "LAN settings".
- If it is checked, uncheck the box next to "Use a proxy server for your LAN" and click "OK".
If you were connected to a proxy server with no recollection of setting it up yourself, we suggest running a virus scan. As previously mentioned it is possible for proxy servers to be set up on a computer without your knowledge via malware.
